A little more on top of things today, and participating in the Yarn Along over at Small Things (before 11:45PM PST like last time)…
This week I’m reading The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin. I took my DONA doula training course several years ago, but held off in pursuing doula work until I had my own pregnancies and birth experiences. Now, I’m really wanting to pursue it, and have put a few offers out to friends, so I’m trying to brush up on my textbook knowledge and hoping that someone takes me up on my offer!
Annnnd… I’m knitting the same scarf. I ended up giving my aunt one that I knit for me and hadn’t washed, blocked or really worn yet. (I did both of those before I gave it to her.) It worked out well as the one I knit is one of her favourite colours. I’m so happy I went that route. She absolutely loves it, which makes it worth it to me.
Now I’m working on a cowl/scarf of my own design for myself. I don’t get a lot of work done on it (obviously), but I’m okay with taking it slowly. I’ve got enough on my plate with the beeb and the toddler and all of the bloody make house make house make house!
Hope everyone else is enjoying crafting and reading this week!
